Something came to my mind today and maybe someone out there in the world wide web knows the answer. It’s summer and most of my co-workers have their windows opened in the afternoon to get some fresh air. (no A/C in the building). Around 2 p.m. it starts: The invasion of the monster flies. Suddenly they are sitting on the windows. Fat, round flies. They even hit the window on the outside when it’s closed, like if they are eagerly trying to get inside.
When they are in the building, all they are doing is sitting on the windows. They only fly around very little.
The curious thing is … the next morning they are gone, even though the windows are closed over night. They just disappear.
Since I’m watching that already for some weeks this raises some questions in me like:
– Where are they going? Do they just completely vanish or do I need someone to check for dead fly bodies that are invisible in my office….
– Did someone send them? The way they are trying to get in and then are just sitting around to be gone the next morning somehow makes me feel like they are on a mission….
– Why does the invasion start after lunch time? If I was a them I would try to come around during lunch time….
– And…as this has always been something I wanted to know: why do the fly around in the middle of the room when they are in my apartment but not in the office? I mean you know how flies keep flying in circles in the middle of the room (until my cat gets them). They only do that in my apartment but not in the office…
– Those office flies behave so completely different to my home flies can this really be coincidence or are they either sent by some alien nation or some competitor or the authorities? May they be the new secret weapon no. 1?
So any expert out there who has the answer, please feel free to leave a comment!
